More Than a Friendly Church … Friends

Woodmont is a friendly church, where you’ll find spiritual insight for you and your family. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we’re persuaded the Bible does. If you’re lonely, struggling with guilt, or looking to renew your relationship with God, give Woodmont a chance.

Our meeting place is located at 6417 Landview Drive in southwest Fort Worth, about two miles west of Interstate 35W and just off Altamesa Boulevard. On Sundays, we meet for worship at 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Bible classes for all ages follow right after our morning worship. On Wednesdays, we meet for classes and a brief period of worship at 7:30 p.m. If you’re looking for a church of Christ closer to home, check out this Church Directory.

The schedule for the week of February 26th shapes up like this:

Sunday 9:30 Worship: “The Other Beatitudes” (Part 4: Revelation)
Sunday Morning Bible Classes Follow (The adult auditorium class is studying Lesson 9 in “Things God Hates”)
Sunday 5:00 Worship: “Revelation” (Lesson 7)
Wednesday 7:30 Singing Night (The adult auditorium class will cover Lesson 8 in “Wisdom Literature/Post-Exile” next week)

As a visitor to our worship assembly, you will never be asked for money or pressured to embarrass yourself before the church. You can just observe the worship and listen to the sermon, or participate as fully as you want. Worship lasts about an hour and includes a period of singing, prayer and teaching, in addition to the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper and an offering made by our members. Our music is spirit-filled, solemn and totally a cappella. That was the pattern of the early church also and we’re content to imitate them rather than innovate for ourselves. Before you come out for worship, visit us here for a preview of our sermons and classes. If you can’t make it out, you can come back here and join us live — our classes and services are available via Ustream, not as a replacement for assembling with the saints, but an aid if you are prevented by health or other circumstance from getting out.

If you need more information or would like to schedule a personal Bible study or make a prayer request, please email our preacher, Jeff Smith.
